KokoMana is a small start-up company, established in 2018, with an ambitious mission – to develop and reveal the magic of Savusavu cocoa and chocolate to an unsuspecting world!
Through ethical business practices and ecologically based, sustainable production methods, assembled from best-practice around the world,
KokoMana seeks to:
Manufacture and sell small quantities of delicious, fine-flavoured chocolate, using simple, natural ingredients – wherever possible, sourced locally in the beautiful Fiji islands;
Produce excellent cocoa beans, naturally fermented and sun-dried, on KokoMana’s own farm or in collaboration with nearby communities and smallholders;
Promote the growing of cocoa and other perennial crops in low-input, mixed agroforestry systems, that protect Fiji’s pristine but fragile environment and sustain its biodiversity; and
Provide a decent, sustainable living for KokoMana’s employees and local suppliers.
We offer tours of the farm and factory, to share the magic of cocoa and chocolate with visitors to Savusavu and with residents too.
We offer courses, so that you can take the magic of chocolate-making home with you, to share with your family and friends.
And we encourage farmers and students to visit our farm to learn more about agroforestry and sustainable cocoa production – to help make Fiji’s future ‘greener’ and more sustainable for the benefit of everyone.
